Workshops help families coping with depression and other disorders

Navigating relationships can be a challenge for any of us, for those with a loved one suffering from Bipolar, Major Depression or Borderline Personality Disorder it can feel like a wild rollercoaster ride.  Mental Health Partnerships is offering its Getting Off the Emotional Roller Coaster 10 week workshop beginning March 19 in Plymouth Meeting for families who are looking to both understand these disorders as well as gain the tools for more effective communication. A participant last fall said: “I think this entire workshop has been one of the most important things I have done that will be life altering for me.”

This unique workshop is co-facilitated by a therapist with lived experience in their own family, a person in recovery from one of these disorders and a graduate family member who has implemented the skills with their loved one. For further information about what the workshop covers please see the attached article and a selection of comments from past participants.

The 10 week class will also be offered in Philadelphia. The cost of the Plymouth Meeting workshop is $300 or $30 per class. Registration is required and class size is limited to allow for discussion and individualized learning.
