PUP honors labor activists at annual jazz fundraiser

Join the Philadelphia Unemployment Project on Friday, June 22nd for our annual fundraiser. We will be honoring long time labor and occupational health advocate Jim Moran for his many years of leadership in the struggle for justice for working people. We will also honor Wilson Chang, Senior IT consultant at the University of Pennsylvania, who has provided IT services to PUP for many years without charge.

The entertainment will be provided by Weez the Peeples Collective, led by percussionist Karen Smith. They are top Philadelphia jazz artists providing a jazz quartet with vocalist.

PUP needs your support to continue to organize for a just and humane world. We continue to organize around transportation justice, protecting health care and the safety net, a fair minimum wage and preventing foreclosures on Philadelphia families. Money for organizing is not easy to come by, so your support for this event is extremely important to our efforts.

Through ticket sales and the sale of ad space in our program, this event helps raises awareness and critical funds for our organizing work with unemployed and low wage workers. Please show your support for PUP and honor Jim Moran and Wilson Chang.
