City health department publishes summer health bulletin

The Philadelphia Department of Public Health has issued its summer 2018 health bulletin, which features information and tips to help people of all ages stay safe and healthy.

Topics in this issue include sources, prevention and treatment of food-borne illnesses, which seniors and people with weakened immune systems are most susceptible to; how to stay cool and avoid heat exhaustion/stroke; and staying healthy and safe during severe storms. The four-page bulletin can be downloaded here.

Professionals in the aging network, community-based organizations, and anyone who works or cares for seniors and people with disabilities are encouraged to share this helpful information.
