DVAEYC offers at-home options for annual ECE Action Day

Each spring, parents, caregivers, providers, and advocates from across Pennsylvania travel to Harrisburg to visit legislators and talk with them about the importance of quality early childhood care and education. Quality early learning and child development open the doors of opportunity for every child to do well in school, in the workforce, and in life! But quality early learning requires the commitment of families, teachers, and the community in order for children to reach their promise.

This year, the Delaware Valley Association for the Education of Young Children (DVAEYC) is celebrating Action Day at home. On Tuesday, June 19, DVAEYC is organizing  three great options of things to do for Action Day.

• Post photos of your parents at work as part of our #PARunsOnChildcare campaign.
• Go public with a big block building project and post on #BuildBrightFutures.
• Text “ECE Kids” to 52886 to communicate with your legislator about the importance of funding early childhood education.
