Focus group seeks youth who faced homelessness in high school

The Young Adult Leadership Committee (YALC) is hosting a focus group on Thursday, June 28 from 5:30-7:30 for youth ages 14-21 who experienced housing issues in high school.

The focus group will inform how school staff can better support students experiencing housing issues (homelessness, couch surfing, etc.). Focus group participants will receive a $15 stipend, tokens, and dinner. Participants must register in advance as space is limited to the first 30 participants to register.

YALC is currently partnering with the School District of Philadelphia to develop improved training for school staff to identify and support students experiencing homelessness, and marketing strategies so that more students know the resources available to them if they are going through housing issues.
