Global Citizen opens process for MLK Day service projects

Global Citizen is currently accepting project registrations for the 24th Annual Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King Day of Service on January 21, 2019.

To your 2019 project(s), visit here and click the “Create a Project” button on the top menu bar or on the right side of the page. Please register your 2019 King Day project(s) as soon as possible and no later than Saturday, December 1. This will allow you to publicize your projects, recruit volunteers, and request FREE King Day of Service T-shirts registration.

These workshops share best practices in civic engagement and leadership, as well as guide participants through the process of developing service initiatives for the King Day of Service. Our next in-person planning workshop is October 11 at 2 PM in Parkway Central Library. For more information on that workshop or to RSVP, please click here. Visit our website's Events/Resources section for a full listing of our upcoming workshops and webinars.

If you need help using our website, please call our hotline at 215-851-1811 or email us. To help support your organizing efforts, we will host a series of organizing workshops and webinars. We will discuss best practices for project development and volunteer management. If you have further questions about the planning process, contact  Yoon Kim, Outreach and Programs Manager, or call 215-851-1806.

Be sure to visit our website’s Resources section to help you make your project a success.  Downloads include our Project Development Kit, logos, posters, sign-in sheets, flyers and more, as well as important information about this year's One King Books.

We look forward to continuing our work together to organize meaningful service opportunities for the January 15 King Day of Service.
