Community Education & Land Stewardship Programs
Community Education & Outreach Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing multi-generational programming which includes managing all youth and adult educational programming; and cultivation of community leadership development and engagement within our developing urban farming/gardening food and land systems. This is a full time, year round, salaried position.

Community Land Stewardship Coordinator is responsible for the cultivation of community participation and leadership development within our developing urban farming/gardening food and land systems, including mentoring high-school aged youth apprentices. This is a part-time, year round position ($13/hr).

Neighborhood Foods Farms
Community Food Distribution Coordinator supports the growth of UTC’s farmer’s markets, and CSA program. The Food Distribution Coordinator will coordinate all food distribution programming, lead the packaging process, and support in the training/mentorship of youth, community residents, and volunteers. They will equip/support operations of markets and CSA’s; coordinate marketing and outreach; manage data collection, record keeping and evaluation of the program, and provide assistance with harvesting, packaging and preparing produce for markets. This is a seasonal, part-time position ($13/hour). 

Lead Farmer/Food Production Coordinator is responsible for producing sustainably grown produce, maintaining sustainable growing practices and projects, and the natural beauty of our Neighborhood Foods (NF) farming sites. The Lead Farmer is also responsible for building relationships with community members, running retail markets, supervising a farm intern and workshare volunteers, and assisting with mentoring farming youth apprentices, and managing volunteer groups at NF Farm.  This is a seasonal, part-time position ($13/hour). 

Stand Managers set-up, run, and break-down the market stand with support of the Food Distribution Coordinator and youth apprentices. They provide quality customer service and engagement; handle money; keep sales records; take inventory; demonstrate product knowledge and share with customers; and have an understanding of UTC’s mission and programs. Stand Managers will build a positive rapport with customers, and partner organizations.  This is a stipend position for community members that reside in Haddington / neighboring communities.

Farming intern assists the Lead Farmer in cultivating, maintaining UTC’s scattered urban farm sites. This is an 18 week paid internship program that will allow the intern to gain experience through hands-on learning with a Lead Farmer while directly serving the Haddington neighborhood.
