Talking Fatherhood: An Interfaith Conversation

Talking Fatherhood: An Interfaith Conversation

Where are some places in scripture that explicitly dictate the role of a man or father? What are some actions/responsibilities for the role of fatherhood in your faith that appear to be at odds with today’s culture? Thought-leaders and faith-based practitioners will delve into the topic of fatherhood and how religion plays a key role in guiding fathers. Perspectives involved in this conversation will be informed by their professional experiences and with their personal experience either as fathers themselves or as children. Moderated by Rev. David R. Anderson, chaplain, this event will conclude with a lively Q&A with guests.

Panelists:

  • Rev. David R. Anderson, Episcopal Community Services
  • Rabbi Nathan S. Kamesar, Society Hill Synagogue
  • Rufus Sylvester Lynch, DSW, Chair, The Strong Families Commission
  • (more to be announced)
