Good Talk! panel series discusses Accelerating Board Diversity

The Good Talk! panel discussion series at the Regional Foundation Center will offer a presentation on Accelerating Board Diversity among nonprofits on Wednesday, April 24 at 9am at the Parkway Central Library.

Studies show that diverse nonprofit boards are more successful, and many nonprofit leaders recognize the need to bring a variety of voices into the conversation. So why are so many boards still struggling to diversify their ranks? Change is needed, and it's needed now. We've gathered an all-star panel to discuss how to ramp up board recruitment efforts and ensure that everyone has a seat at the table.

Panelists include:

  • Amber Hikes, Executive Director of the Mayor’s Office of LGBT Affairs for the City of Philadelphia
  • Greg El, CPA, Partner for TriZen, LLC
  • Sulaiman Rahman, CEO at DiverseForce and Founder / CEO of Urban Philly Professional Network (UPPN)
  • Andy Toy, Development & Communications Manager at SEAMAAC
