To celebrate its 10th Anniversary of resale operations, Career Wardrobe announced the opening of its second resale and service site. The Wardrobe Resale in Lansdowne, PA (Delaware County) held its Grand Opening, Monday, September 16, 2019 at 62 West Marshall Road in Lansdowne, PA.
“We are excited to mark the 10th anniversary of using resale to help fund our programs by expanding into a new community in Delaware County,” says Sheri Cole, executive director of Career Wardrobe. “By relocating our Chester, PA service to this larger and more accessible location that borders Lansdowne and Upper Darby, we are hoping to help more people in need of professional or casual attire both through our referral appointments and open shopping.”
Elected officials will join Career Wardrobe to cut the ribbon to the store and client services site at noon. The shop will be open to the public all day with refreshments, door prizes, fashion tips, and more through an evening Sip & Shop with champagne toast at 6 p.m. Officials scheduled to appear are: Lansdowne Mayor Anthony Campuzano, U.S. Representative Mary Gay Scanlon, State Senator Tim Kearney, State Representatives Margo Davidson and Mike Zabel.
The Wardrobe Resale in Lansdowne is opening at the former site of the Mar-Win Market, a family-owned and operated grocery store that was part of the community for decades. Career Wardrobe will continue the family tradition of responding to the needs of the community at prices they can afford. The organization accepts donations of gently used men’s and women’s clothing and accessories including casual, dressy, and professional wear during store hours – Monday-Friday 10am-6pm and Saturdays 11am-6pm. Donations are tax deductible.
