Youth homeless coalition sets discussion of mental health needs

The Philly Homes for Youth Coalition is sponsoring a presentation called NEW DIRECTIONS: Bridging Solutions in Youth Mental Health and Housing, in collaboration with the Temple University College of Public Health, Youth Healers Stand Up! @ People's Emergency Center, The Young Adult Leadership Committee at the Office of Homeless Services, and the Youth Peer Support Think Tank.

The groups will discuss the latest in research and practice around youth peer support and engagement barriers and challenges to mental health services for youth in shelter. The event will also feature youth speaking out on the impact of homelessness on mental health and on their recommendations for prevention.

The discussion will take place on Wednesday, November 20th at the The Bank, 3750 Lancaster Avenue in West Philadelphia from 5:30-7:30pm. For more information, reach out to Rashni Stanford
