Children's Village hosts census training for child care providers

Children under the age of 5 are one of the largest groups of under-counted people in the United States.

Children's Village is coordinating a Census Champion 'Train the Trainer' session from 12 to 2 pm on January 21st with Philly Counts.

Children's Village would like to make this training available to our fellow early childhood educators and advocacy allies. If you are interested in attending, please e-mail Sim Loh.

Counting Young Children in the Census
This two-page fact sheet from the US Census describes a variety of common situations in which young children are not counted, and steps that advocates can take to address those barriers.

Also, the Keystone Counts Coalition's new Pledge to Be Counted video gives a clear overview of just what is at stake if children aren't counted in the 2020 Census and urges citizens to take the pledge to be counted. It is also available in Spanish, and with Chinese subtitles or Vietnamese subtitles.

Please take the pledge and share this video with your network or anyone you know who cares about a fair and accurate count.
