The Foundation for Delaware County is offering a new and innovative opportunity for executive directors and emerging leaders of Delco nonprofits. In two separate peer learning circles, cohorts of nonprofit professionals will learn, network and problem solve with support from seasoned facilitators and speakers.
Last year, the Foundation commissioned a study of the training needs of our county's nonprofits. Results clearly indicated that nonprofit leaders, managers, and staff in Delaware County have a real interest in building workforce capacity. Representatives from nonprofits around the county expressed a desire for management training, business development and peer support. As a result, the foundation is establishing a Center for Nonprofit Excellence to build strong and productive partnerships with Delaware County nonprofits and provide an opportunity to meet their capacity building needs. We are excited to announce the peer learning circles as one of the initial programs of the center.
An application for the peer learning circles is available on our website and includes a description of the types of leaders eligible for this program, along with meeting dates and other instructions. Applications are due at 5:00 p.m. on Jan. 28.
Please help us spread the word about this exciting opportunity.
