Presenters sought for 2020 Safe Schools Conference

The Center for Safe Schools is seeking relevant and compelling presentations for the 2020 Safe Schools Conference: Keeping our Children Safe Strategies for Schools and Communities, which will be held December 8-9 at the Hilton Harrisburg in downtown Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

The Center for Safe Schools seeks high quality, effective presentations addressing best practice information relative to school safety and youth violence prevention. Based upon that criteria and professional development needs expressed by Pennsylvania educators and administrators, the following conference themes have been identified:

• Bullying Prevention
• Cybersecurity
• Effective, Safe and Secure Virtual Instructional Programming
• Emergency Response and Crisis Management
• Positive School Climate
• Student Wellness
• Youth Violence Prevention
• Open Category

Format Options:
• Half-Day Institutes (3 Hours)
• Plenary Session (2 Hours)
• Workshop Session (90 Minutes)

Please review the 2020 Safe Schools Conference Call for Presenters Guidelines. If you are interested in presenting one or more sessions at this year’s conference, please complete the online Call for Presenters Submission Form. Sessions are intended to be learning opportunities for our participants. Vendor proposals will not be considered unless they are part of a school district or intermediate unit session proposal, or approved by Randall Fox, Center for Safe Schools Director.

Submission deadline is 11:59 p.m. ET on Friday, June 5, 2020. Applicants will be advised via email regarding the status of their presentation proposal no later than June 30, 2020.
