At Haverford College, when we began flipping our summer orientation for local and international internships to an online experience, we intentionally did so through Haverford’s hosting of the Community-based Global Learning Collaborative. Our goal was to collaborate with colleagues across institutions and activist networks, to build open, accessible, and relevant resources for embracing a civics of interdependence.
The result is an open-access toolkit: Interdependence: Global Solidarity and Local Actions. The toolkit contains more than 20 flipped classroom pages that have already been employed as part of classes at Dickinson College, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of British Columbia.
