As we mark the end of summer 2020, the Urban Affairs Coalition (UAC) is proud to share that we connected more than 700 teenage participants to over 100 local employers this summer! Through a variety of work experiences, from in-person to virtual, our youth participants had the opportunity – once again – to gain skills in financial literacy, digital literacy, marketing, graphic design, and many more career areas; and earn some money during their summer employment.
UAC and the UAC Summer Youth Employment Program are proud to recognize the resilience, dedication, perseverance and passion of our youth participants, employers, stakeholders, and staff. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on our society, the SU’2020 SYE youth participants have overcome so many obstacles in this challenging time. They have truly shown us, now more than ever, why a summer work experience is #MoreThanASummerJob.
