City issues guidelines for ECE centers to reopen safely

Childcare providers play a vital role in Philadelphia - they provide children with a safe place to learn and play and their parents with a service that is critical to allowing them to work and carry out other daily activities.

Keeping children and staff safe during COVID-19 is the utmost priority.

The City of Philadelphia has released a booklet with guidelines for the yellow and green phases to help childcare and early childhood education centers decrease the risk of COVID-19 for children and staff. The guidance provided are a set of baseline or minimum recommendations based on guidelines from the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, the CDC, and the Pennsylvania Office of Child Development and Early Learning.
