The Coalition Against Hunger's Race Against Hunger Virtual 5K Run/Walk (formerly known as the Walk Against Hunger) has become a beloved event in the Philadelphia region. This year's virtual event starts April 16th and ends April 26th.
Now in its 25th year, the Race continues to bring together the community for one cause: to end hunger in the Greater Philadelphia area, one step at a time. This 5K hunger race is a fun, safe, family-friendly way for people of all ages to help those in need. Proceeds benefit the Coalition Against Hunger’s programs that connect households with the food resources they need through; our support of food pantries and soup kitchens, our SNAP (food stamp) Hotline, and advocating for policies that create access to nutrition programs for more than 730,000 people living in the Greater Philadelphia region.
This year, the Race Against Hunger 5K will be virtual, meaning you can run or walk the distance of a 5K at any location and time during the designated dates that you’d like. You can even complete the event on a treadmill. Please be sure to obey all pedestrian safety and public health orders and guidelines while you participate. Sleep in, then complete the run/walk, and share your photos on social media using the hashtag #RAH25.
