New online tool helps PA residents identify school underfunding

When it comes to public school underfunding in PA, the facts are plain: 86% of the students in PA public schools attend school districts that are not adequately funded according to state law.

For years, the General Assembly’s inability to provide sufficient state funding for public schools has left communities across the state without the resources they need for a quality education.

But what does that underfunding really look like in your neck of the woods?

Last week, Fund Our Schools PA launched a new interactive tool that pulls your local numbers to show the size and shape of underfunding in your community.

Here’s how to use it:

  • Go here
  • Tap on your district (or enter your zip).
  • When it comes, tap “See district details.”
