OHS seeks input from homeless youth for federal grant proposal

Philadelphia's Office of Homeless Services is in the process of putting together an application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through the Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program. OHS is seeking the perspectives of youth with some experience of homelessness as they put together the proposal.

The Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP) is an initiative designed to address systemic responses to youth homelessness and significantly reduce the number of youth experiencing homelessness. HUD released a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), which will award approximately $145 million in up to 50 participating communities (8 of which will be rural).

Please invite the youth in your programs to attend the Working Group sessions listed below so that OHS can hear from them directly on their views of how and what can be done to address youth homelessness in Philadelphia. Please share the following link to join one or more sessions. (Each session will cover a different aspect of the proposal.)

The Zoom link for the meetings is here.
