Nonprofits urge Biden, Congress to help nonprofit sector

Over 50 national nonprofit organizations have signed a letter to President Biden and congressional leaders recommending concrete policies that will help the nonprofit sector contribute to the nation’s relief, recovery, and rebuilding.

The letter highlights key policy proposals that will significantly enhance our sector’s ability to remain financially stable and continue helping our communities. The letter cites policies, like the WORK NOW Act and the Employee Retention Tax Credit, which will help nonprofits hire and retain staff. It also advocates for the distribution of allotted state and local aid, broadband expansion, and an extension and expansion of the Universal Charitable Deduction.
