Workshop on trauma-informed care and aging set

The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia and the Jewish Family and Childrens Service will sponsor a workshop on Aging and Person-Centered Trauma-Informed Care on Tuesday, February 15th at 10am.

This informative workshop for professionals will cover the fundamentals of person-centered trauma–informed care, tools for understanding trauma in older adults, and strategies for working with the specific challenges of this age group. Special areas of focus include:

  • Introduction to person-centered trauma-informed care
  • Physical, cognitive, social & spiritual impacts of aging
  • Tips to support Holocaust Survivors and older adults with a history of trauma
  • Caring for older adults during COVID-19
  • Role of the care manager

This event is co-sponsored by Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research (GSSWSR) for a maximum of 2 credit hours. Bryn Mawr College GSSWSR is a CSWE accredited School of Social Work and a pre-approved provider of continuing education for social workers, professional counselors, and marriage and family therapists in the state of PA. All other professions or out of state professionals should inquire with their state boards to determine continuing education eligibility for this program.
