As of July 1, 2022, the updated Keystone STARS Performance Standards are in effect for all Pennsylvania certified child care programs.
The Keystone STARS Performance Standards are intended to support programs in developing a meaningful, individualized continuous quality improvement (CQI) Plan. In addition, the Standards allow the broad diversity of early childhood education (ECE) providers in Pennsylvania to demonstrate quality practices in ways that are meaningful to them and the families in their care.
