The 2023 First Up Annual Conference, “The Joy of Teaching: Creating Meaningful Play Experiences,” will be an in-person event, bringing together early childhood educators for networking, resource sharing, and FUN. The Conference will take place Saturday, April 29th, 2023 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown.
We are incredibly excited to share that our Keynote Speaker will be author, public speaker, and Early Childhood Specialist, Dr. Nefertiti Poyner! Dr. Poyner is an Early Childhood Specialist and National Trainer with the Devereux Center for Resilient Children. In her role, Dr. Poyner conducts local and national presentations while developing training curriculum, mentoring trainers, and providing onsite and distance coaching.
We will keep the celebration into the night with the 2023 Terri Lynne Lokoff Teacher Awards, honoring early educators from across the country! We will celebrate the achievements of outstanding early care and education teachers and bring attention to the critical role these teachers play in the lives of young children.
