Listening Sessions garner input for PA 'Master Plan' for seniors

Philadelphia Corporation for Aging (PCA) is hosting Listening Sessions on the Pennsylvania Master Plan for Older Adults – a 10-year, state-led and stakeholder-driven strategic plan designed to help transform the infrastructure and coordination of services for older Pennsylvanians. The master plan will also reflect the needs and preferences of this population to live where they choose and access the supports they need to thrive and age in place.

Stakeholders, older adults and people living with disabilities, their families, caregivers and community leaders are invited to contribute what they think should be the plan’s priority goals, objectives, and initiatives to support the highest quality of life for older adults.

Those interested in attending the Listening Sessions should RSVP by email here or leave a voicemail for Zina Van Sciver at 215.765.9000 ext. 5086 with:

  • Your name (optional)
  • Which session you would like to attend (state location and time if multiple times are offered on one day) (required)
  • Number of people attending with you (required)
  • Needed accommodations (required)
  • Type of accommodation, e.g. vision, hearing, language, etc. (required)

Individuals who are unable to attend can still provide input on the plan. They can email AgingPlan@pa.gov, provide feedback through the Needs Assessment online survey or mail the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, c/o Master Plan, 555 Walnut St., 5th Floor, Harrisburg, PA 17101.

Please make your voice heard and share this with everyone you know. Let’s work together to reimagine what aging can look like in Pennsylvania!
