New report explores how low-income young children can flourish

A new report from the Convergence Collaborative explores what it means for families with low to moderate incomes with young children to flourish.

The framework includes recommendations for supporting families’ economic stability, children’s healthy development, and parents with newborn babies. Lina Guzman, Child Trends’ chief strategy officer and director of the Hispanic Institute, is a member of the Collaborative and contributed to the report.

The Convergence Collaborative on Supports for Working Families is a group of experts across professional fields, the ideological spectrum, and life experiences whose goal is to help families with young children thrive.
