The Mayor's Office of Community Empowerment and Opportunity has announced that OIC Philadelphia is launching a Same Day Work and Pay program. The Same Day Work and Pay initiative began in 2019 and provides low-barrier employment opportunities paired with essential support services.
The partnership with OIC Philadelphia will provide immediate income for participants awaiting entry into their workforce training programs. OIC becomes the sixth host site working in coordination with CEO and other City agencies to create an on-ramp to stable, living-wage employment.
