Please join us to hear about financial aid opportunities for youth in foster care who want to get a college degree, including how to earn a degree tuition - free through the Chafee Education and Training Grant and the PA Fostering Independence Tuition Waiver.

This event is specifically for foster youth and those adults who support them and is appropriate for foster students in middle school through high school who want to go to college. Information will also be shared on how students can pay for college, innovative college support programs specifically for students with foster care experience and the Immensitas Scholarship that will cover the cost of room and board at three PA based colleges. A special guest student speaker will share their first-hand experience as a college student.

This event is being offered by PHEAA, the Philadelphia Education Fund, I-LEAD, and The University of Pennsylvania's Field Center for Children's Policy, Practice & Research in collaboration with the Philadelphia School District and the Philadelphia College Prep Roundtable and will be highly informative for foster youth and their caregivers.
