Chester County VITA program seeks tax volunteers

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program is an initiative of the Internal Revenue Service that provides free tax preparation and filing for low and moderate income households, people with disabilities, and those with limited English proficiency.

Life Transforming Ministries is looking for anyone interested in a short term community outreach volunteer position for the upcoming tax season. This opportunity does not require prior tax experience and offers:

  • Free IRS Certification Training
  • Flexible Hours
  • Sites in Coatesville, West Chester, Phoenixville, Downingtown, Kennett Square, Exton, and other areas
  • Multiple Roles Available: Tax Preparer; Quality Reviewer; Interpreter (English/Spanish); Greeter
