Program helps parenting, homeless youth in shelter find jobs

Help for the Hurdles (H4H) helps Philadelphia parenting youth, who are living in emergency shelter, to achieve financial and housing stability. This voluntary program connects participants to employment opportunities, long-term career planning services, and childcare assistance.

The program's goals are to:

  • Help households improve their economic well-being in the face of COVID-19.
  • Increase participant earnings.
  • Move people out of congregate settings and into housing stability.
  • Link and secure childcare for households with children.

Here is the youth specific flyer or visit the H4H Website.
