New tookit helps college students get benefits for basic needs

Benefits Data Trust recently released a toolkit to help colleges identify students eligible for untapped public benefits that can help them pay for basic needs – and focus on succeeding in their studies.

We invite you to join us March 21 at 3 p.m. ET to explore the toolkit – now available on our website – during a webinar with higher education leaders experienced in using data to boost student access to benefits.

Each year, millions of college students struggle to afford food, childcare, housing, healthcare, and internet service. Among those students are a disproportionate number of first-generation students and students of color. Funded by Comcast NBCUniversal, our new toolkit – Benefits Access for Student Success: A Toolkit for Leveraging Data to Find Eligible Students – helps institutions of higher education leverage the data they already have to connect more eligible students to assistance programs.
