NOMINATE

Since 2020, The Philadelphia Citizen has teamed up with Accountability Lab, a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit that created Integrity Icon to honor public workers. Our shared goal is to inspire other public workers, and future generations, to strive towards this level of excellence. So far, we’ve honored 15 awe-inspiring city employees working in departments ranging from parks to police, arts to immigrant affairs, and beyond.

What makes someone an Integrity Icon?

  • They’re a high-integrity, full-time, non-elected employee of the City of Philadelphia.
  • They’re respectful and caring.
  • Their work makes a difference in people’s lives.
  • They act in a trustworthy and transparent way to solve problems.
  • They treat everyone equally, without regard to politics or influence.
  • And they go above and beyond to provide good service to Philadelphians.

We can’t wait to learn all about the amazing city workers you believe in!
