For several decades it’s been known that air pollution is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease.
In this talk Dr. Ingrid Olson will describe newer findings showing that particulate matter in air pollution is linked to poorer cognitive health and dementia. She will also discuss why this is important to study in Philadelphia, and how one might go about studying this and applying findings to policy.
Ingrid Olson is the Thaddeus Bolton Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at Temple University. Her research focuses on memory, social cognition, and age-related brain changes.
