City seeks volunteers for January street homeless count

The Philadelphia Point-in-Time (PIT) Count is an annual event where volunteers survey or count people experiencing homelessness on a single night in January. The PIT Count is mandated by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

The data collected helps us understand the scope of homelessness in Philadelphia.

The PIT Count also helps inform strategies developed to address homelessness in Philadelphia by the Office of Homeless Services and other homeless services providers.

Sign up to volunteer today for the 2025 PIT Count! It kicks off at 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Hurry; training sessions begin soon!
